Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There were plenty of big online betting events over the weekend and we have found three big winning bets where our canny punters got one over our trading team.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
The fourth Test between England and India may well have ended in a draw, but the match at Old Trafford will still live in the memory thanks to a stunning 150 from Joe Root and a captain’s knock of 141 from Ben Stokes.
England had powered into the lead at lunch on day four after they racked up 669 runs, with the tourists over 300 runs behind. Alongside Stokes and Root, Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, and Ollie Pope all made notable contributions with the bat and Brydon Carse once again chipped in with a good score.
England’s fine form with the bat was great news for cricket spread betting punters who placed a buy bet on their 1st innings score at 352-367. With the spread settling at 669, buyers won a mammoth 302x their stake.
Calandagan may well have been the star of the show at Ascot on Saturday, but there was a thrilling finish in the Group 3 Valiant Stakes which was won by Cheshire Dancer. Last of the pack at the three furlong pole, Billy Loughnane expertly steered his mount into contention and flew home to beat American Gal by a neck.
Sent off with a Race Index spread of 2-4, those who sided with Cheshire Dancer in our Race Index spread betting market were rewarded with a maximum win of 46x their stake.
With just over half of the MLB season gone, things are looking bleak for the Colorado Rockies and their dreadful year got even worse on Saturday when they were battered 18-0 in Baltimore last night. The Rockies have already lost 21-0 this season when they were pelted by the Padres and Saturday was another grim affair.
The nadir came in the seventh innings when the Rockies leaked nine runs as the Orioles ended up recording their biggest ever shutout victory. Such a big winning margin was great news for baseball spread bettors who had sided with the Orioles on 10/3 Supremacy market.
This spread awards ten points to the winner of the match and a further three points for every run won by. With Baltimore winning 18-0, the spread settled at 64 against a pre-match market of 7.5-10.5, with buyers winning a massive 53.5x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
