Jeremy Kyle slammed by Ofcom over Easter Sunday show that featured ‘orgasm faces and references to fishy smells’

ITV chat show aired topics that weren't suitable for young viewers during school holidays

JEREMY Kyle is in hot water with broadcasting watchdogs after his Easter Sunday show featured explicit sexual references.

When many families sat down for some TV time after an exhilarating morning looking for Easter eggs they would have been met with a show titled 'Did you sleep with my boyfriend and is he your baby’s dad?’

And if that wasn't jarring enough for one of the holiest days in the British calendar, the language and topics discussed on the programme were even more unsuitable.

On the show, Jezza quizzed a man called Carlos about his sex life.

He probed: "You can't remember having sex? Can anybody in this audience, have you ever forgotten about having sex?"

Another guesty lowered the tone further when they said sex had “a really, bad, smelly fishy smell”.

Jeremy also asked his security guard to give his best "orgasm face".

Ofcom said: “We found this programme broke broadcasting rules because it included content that was unsuitable for children before the watershed on a Sunday morning.

"The sound was dipped to mask offensive language about 130 times.”

They also noted that the show featured explosive confrontations and sexual themes and references.

However, ITV defended the show, and said it was nothing unusual compared to other Jeremy Kyle shows.

They admitted that it "might have been considered inappropriate for a minority of viewers with strong religious beliefs.”
